The Rhine invites you to paddle, fish and swim. The town of Eglisau impresses with a delightful historic town and is situated only 5 five minutes away. Although it has only just over 5000 inhabitants, this municipality has enjoyed town status since the Middle Ages and lives largely and proudly from wine growing. Kindergarten and primary school are only eight minutes by bike from the property. This lovely castle was built in 1899-1900 by the Italian opera singer Virgilio Fratoddi and his Russian wife, who came here to recover from the hot climate in Rome. Later, the estate was used as a hunting lodge. The current owners have renovated the property true to the original style and with love for historical details. »Rheingold« is situated in the middle of a forest clearing with a picturesque villa garden and pond. In the entrance, a colourful window sets the mood for the openness of the interior space. The festive living room welcomes guests with its elaborate coffered parquet flooring and representative fireplace. The dining room offers space for a whole party. The well-furnished kitchen is directly adjacent. In mild weather, the social gathering can continue on the veranda or on the sunny terrace. On the quieter upper floor are the master bedroom and en-suite bathroom with spectacular stucco ceiling. The terrace offers beautiful views of the vineyards and the Rhine. The loft-like attic still has plenty of potential for expansion. If you would like to find an undistributed place to retreat, think and work, the tower room is the best place for it. In addition, »Rheingold« has an extension with a granny flat and a wine cellar in the basement. Finally, on the covered veranda, you can enjoy the scent of warm summer rain. Flickers the river, flames the tide, we surround your bed diving, dancing and singing in blissful bath! Rheingold! Rheingold! Heia jaheia! heia jaheia! Wallala la la heia jahei!
