The residence was completely renovated in 1831 and restored in 1982. The Villa is surrounded by a beautiful English park (about four hectares) in which there is a large central pond. Around this stands an octagonal gazebo in wood dating from the late nineteenth century, an ancient and still functioning icehouse and a well, richly carved in low relief. Not far from the villa stands the dovecote dating from the end of the sixteenth century, shaped as a tower, with square base, accessible in the lower part through the four arches under which there is a path in the park. In the park there is a semi-circular paved path, that cuts through a hill; this was the ancient route for carriages.close
