Two dishwashers, a Viking stove and top of the line appliances from Miele and Subzero make it a chef’s delight. The cabinets are custom made and there is a gas powered fireplace for comfort and beauty. The dining area is in its own nook from where you can watch skiers and snowboarders glide past. Also on the main level is a solarium which can be used for an office, yoga studio or for a hideaway. It has windows on three sides, gets great morning sun and overlooks one of the original Stratton snowmaking ponds. Throughout are custom built lighting fixtures; many of these use elements from local farms and antique stores. The railing over the great room even features the tin roof from an old barn to really give a taste of the local vernacular. Stratton Club available.
The five bedrooms are spacious and each has beds made specifically for them using Vermont timber. The master bedroom has a fireplace and its own coffee bar so breakfast in bed can take on a new meaning before hitting the slopes. Two of the bedrooms have bunk beds made exclusively for the house. The bathrooms are all custom including hollowed out trees for sinks. The master has a walk in shower and a soaking tub as well. In all, there are 4 full bathroom and two half baths.
The fun really happens on the ground floor. A full sized pool table, built for the location includes slate imported from France. A full entertainment center with cushy seating is perfect to watch any format you choose. Since it is a ski-on/ski-off home a large locker room with cubbies for family and friends is just a few feet away from the trail. Additionally there is also an oversized mudroom off of the two car garage. You will also enjoy the full professional grade bar with taps for beer, refrigerator, dishwasher, ice maker and even a hot chocolate machine. Just outside a hot tub designed to hold ten people has commercial grade heaters above. Below are heated blue flagstones so you never have to worry about shoveling (the same is true of the front entrance). Speaking of heat, there is yet another wood burning fireplace on the hot tub deck and a Sunbright TV.
All of this and more is in this luxurious home directly on a Stratton ski trail. As you would expect, every system is top of the line including heat, security and Sonos sound. For extra protection included is a sprinkler system and a generator. Two laundry rooms and a central vacuum system, make cleanup a breeze.
26 Tamarack was built in 2016 to the highest specifications and has been enjoyed to the fullest by a loving family. Nothing was spared in order to make it one of the finest and handsomest homes ever built at Stratton. Since completion the owners have added over $100,000 in landscaping and $50,000 on an asphalt driveway. The residence is part of the Tamarack Heights neighborhood which features just 12 spectacular properties; all are ski-on/ski-off. If location and style are of the utmost importance, this is where a discerning family wants to be. The Stratton Mountain Club currently has a three year wait list, but if the new owners chose to join, they would go to the front of the line.
There is a wonderful mountain esthetic to the entire residence. 26 Tamarack Heights.close
